Given my deep involvement in the arts and crafts industry since 1965, I believe I know the way to success in a homebased art, craft, or design business better than anyone in the country. This fact has been confirmed by the popularity of my books and the thousands of individuals who took my advice and went on to build pofitable businesses.
AT ONE POINT IN MY WRITING CAREER, I was receiving up to 10,000 letters every year, and many of the success stories shared by my readers made it into one of my books. I’d like to continue that tradition by publishing new success stories from creative people who are now doing business on the Web, so don’t be bashful. Tell me about yourself, and how my articles or books have helped you make money at home or on the Web.
Art and craft businesses are on uncomfortable ground today, given our depressed economy and the new CPSC law requiring all makers of children’s products to test their products for lead, including individual toymakers, clothing makers, and even book publishers.
In spite of these economic shocks, many originally designed art and craft products will continue to find a market because there will always be people with money to spend on things both needed or simply desired.
My goal now, as always, is to offer creative individuals the encouragement, motivational guidance, and practical business advice needed to turn creativity into cash or grow a home business already begun.
